Your child’s skills in a range of domains including communication, academics, self-help (tooth brushing, toilet training, hygiene routine), social skills, and safety will improve. Our skilled Interventionists come up with a plan, model it, practice it frequently with you, and review it. We will provide graphs and data that demonstrate the progress your child is making.

Target All Areas and Master New Routines
Within two months of service with Northern Star, you can expect a detailed assessment of your child’s current skills with a plan to address any concerns you may have. BCBAs target all areas of development including challenging behaviour, communication and language support, self-help, social skills, safety, picky eating, and mastering your everyday routines in a way that works for you and your family.

Services can begin once the required funding documents, confirmations, and approvals are in place.
If you are accessing FSCD services, a physical contract with a listed start date is required, and your assigned caseworker must confirm that NSBx is listed as the noted provider.
If you are accessing Jordan’s Principle, your FNHC-assigned worker must receive confirmation, and an active DEC# is required. If you require a budget submission, please make this request with our team. We would be happy to help based on your child’s specific needs.
No. You do not need to have your contract in hand before contacting our team.
Families are welcome to connect with us before everything is finalized. While services cannot begin until the required contract, confirmations, and approvals are in place, we can still help guide you through the process and provide information to support your child’s service planning.
You can reach out to Northern Star Behaviour Services as soon as you begin exploring services for your child. You do not need to wait for your FSCD contract or Jordan’s Principle approval to be finalized before contacting us.
Reaching out early allows our team to answer questions, support planning, and help you understand the next steps. It may also help your caseworker or assigned worker prioritize the details needed to move your child’s services forward.
Yes! We are pleased to provide a multidisciplinary team to every family who requires the support. This means that Specialized Services and all BDS services are available.
YES! At Northern Star Behaviour Services, we pride ourselves on starting intervention services as early as possible to support the best outcomes. If you have yet to receive a diagnosis and have concerns, our ABA therapy team can support you in your journey and meet you where you are. Early intervention through professional autism services can make a meaningful difference in long-term development.
